It’s been too long since my last post!
Well, a lot of things have been in the works. Noteably, I got accepted into Texas Tech University! The stress of waiting to hear back from my dream school (and the only one I cared to apply to) was really weighing me down, but now that I have been admitted I can breathe a bit more easily.
I do have a bit to say about high school: Although it has been a whirlwind, I have fallen in love and then out of love, then in love again — this time much better with an extraordinary woman that’s changed my life up to this point — and that experience along with all of my other friendships and scholarly struggles and money problems have molded me and aided me in knowing who I am and who I want to be and what path I want to go down (that was a run-on sentence, okay I’m done.) Now that high school is months from being over with, I recognize I’m about to start a new chapter. I know definitively who I will keep in my life and also know who I will exchange my last words with at graduation and that’s a really good feeling to have it all sorted out.
Anyways, until next time, adios! (I’m talking to myself I suppose?)
The last three days have been fun and I have lived life, but I have now decided that I only want to update this if I have a particularly memorable or eventful day. It’s less stressful and more useful to look back on that way.
Lots of work and lots of school! That sums up life right now. I try to fit in the simple pleasures as much as I can.
I sent off my application to Tech today. Guns up! Go Raiders! Ŧ Ŧ Ŧ Ŧ Ŧ Ŧ
Sometimes days are just pretty average and uneventful. Currently I am doing some school work and sipping delicious hot chocolate out of a mug that my girlfriend custom made for me.
Hey, in small but good news, this badge my work gave me makes it official official that I am now a part-time instead of seasonal employee at Best Buy!
Went downtown with my girlfriend Lauren. It was suuuuuper cold. In front of Toy Joy (one of her favorite places) I saw this pass by and sit at a red light. I’m glad I got a photo, it’s my favorite car ever, the Audi R8. Ow oww!
There were some downsides to today, but all in all, I loved it and I love my current place in life.
It feels like there simply isn’t enough time in the day to log on and upload these photos daily. I always get home so late from work or social activities that I want to immediately crash in my bed.
This post is for yesterday, January 5th. It was fun! It was my friend Malenie’s birthday, so my sister hosted a bonfire for her and all my friends were there. It really made me realize that life is no fun without people you care about.
This post is for January 4th, I just got home super late because of work and went right to bed.
So, pretty self-explanatory. The only thing eventful that happened yesterday was that my phone shattered. I also had to work from 6PM to 1AM and that was just dreadful.
I’m hoping for better days!
This was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Thank you to Texas Skydiving Center and thanks to James for being the one to take the plunge with me!
I’ll never forget it and I want to do it many times again. Amazing amazing amazing day.
Good friends and good food, the essentials of life. I guess that’s the experience of a teenager. Jersey Mike’s was delicious, we sat in Whataburger and ate it with no shame. I’m taking bottom bunk tonight at my bro Andrew’s mom’s house. No shame.
Tomorrow should be..interesting.
So, my very first post. Yes, it is a bit after midnight on the 2nd, but nevertheless, I can still recall last night’s events and look back on them someday.
Tonight was really great for me. I walked block after block with Lauren and we were very clueless as to where to eat. To our luck we found a place called, “Roaring Fork” which, as you can see by the dessert, was incredible! Some highlights of the night were the expression on Lauren’s face as she found so many vinyls that she loved at Waterloo Records, and also my dish at the restaurant. I really feel like this is one of the first formal dates that I’ve ever taken her on, and it feels good to start the year off that way.
